The Structural Gap
Three things have to move together
MoneyWorks is designed around a simple idea, drawn from the work of social scientist Carol Weiss: lasting change happens when three things shift together — how a woman feels about money, what’s normal in the conversations around her, and what the system makes possible for her.
01
Attitude
How a woman feels about money.
02
Norms
What’s normal in the conversations around her.
03
System
What the system makes possible for her.
We work on all three. In that order. On purpose.
We measure what changes. Quietly, anonymously, over time. We listen for the moment a woman’s language shifts from “I wish I could” to “I know” — because that shift, repeated across thousands of women, is the most honest evidence of progress we know how to capture.
And that evidence does double work. It tells a woman she is moving. And it tells the institutions that serve her that she has arrived — that the market they’ve underserved is real, ready, and watching.
This is what we mean by collective. Women change. Norms change. Institutions change.
Together, or not at all.
